Where It All Began

Like most professional brewers, Jeremy Sprague started as a homebrewer back in 2008. In 2011, he completed a concise brewing course with the Siebel Institute and the World Brewing Academy. He studied hard and took his skills to the Allen Marketplace in 2012 where he began selling his craft brews.

After selling beer at the farmer’s market business incubator for 2 years, Jeremy, along with some friends, bought a building in REO Town, Lansing, secured financing and opened Sleepwalker at our current location in the fall of 2019.

Today, we welcome visitors of all kinds through our doors into a unique microbrewery experience inspired by Sigmund Freud’s New York Study and The Interpretation of Dreams. The entire Sleepwalker aesthetic was crafted through the lens of psychology. If you peruse our menu, you will find that many of our beers and wines are named after real psych diagnoses. With a continuously rotating menu of specialty pizzas, dips and salads to pair with our house fermented beverages, you’re sure to find something to soothe your psyche.

The Sleepwalker approach to the beer making process.

Our beer is brewed in small batches with our five barrel Psycho Brew system built right here in Michigan. Jeremy describes it as “homebrewing on steroids” and we’re proud of how this process keeps our brewing style more intimate than a larger system. Jeremy is well versed in many global brewing styles including Belgians, British, Mexican and American Wheat and IPA.

We are proudly located in Reo Town.
